Document Q can’t be ignored 1st March 2016 Alan Malcolm Uncategorised 0 Comments No doubt you’ve heard of Document Q. It’s been the big talking point in England this year amongst manufacturers of doors and windows. Wherever you are in the UK, though, Document Q can’t be ignored. Even where not law, as in Scotland, the standard will likely gain traction and become a condition of any public tender specifications. Already, specifiers pretty much require that all commercial doors are Secured By Design. In all likelihood, the same will apply to Document Q before too long – mandatory in spirit even where not mandatory by law. In other words, Document Q cannot be ignored – but it shouldn’t be regarded as an inconvenience but as an opportunity to meet, and exceed, the expectations of your customers. All Sealco hardware products, both for doors and windows, are accredited to PAS 24, which means they pass the standards of Document Q. Whether you need handles, hinges or locks, you can rest assured that whatever you order from us will pass the ‘Document Q’ test. In addition, we can offer advice on how best to implement hardware into your doors and windows, for a robust, secure installation whatever the job.
