Fitting Instructions

1. Clean surfaces with alcohol wipe supplied to ensure they are free from dust and grease
2. Remove backing tape and position with brush against the door stop as indicated
3. Apply to both sides over hinges and latch plate. With a sharp knife cut around the latch plate allowing the door to engage. Apply to top of door frame cutting in corners ensuring a tight fit
4. For best results allow the adhesive to cure overnight
5. Apply fire door stickers enclosed

Important

The Exitex Surface Mounted Intumescent should only be fitted to timber door leaves and framing material that has been successfully tested for a period of 30 minutes in accordance with the criteria of BS 476 Part:22 1987.

The fire door keep shut signage should be fitted to comply with BS 5499-5:2002 in accordance with approved document B Volume 2, appendix B clauses 8 & 9.
